Hong Kong International Airport Terminal Information

Introduction

Hong Kong International Airport has a single passenger terminal for both domestic and international traffic. The 1.27 kilometre long terminal is reputed to be the world's largest enclosed space. Despite its size a passenger may move around with a fair amount of speed. An internal shuttle train runs between the East Hall and the West Hall; arriving passengers need not change levels to exit the building; departing passengers need change levels only once to board their plane.

The Passenger Terminal

The terminal handles flights for more than 40 airlines including Cathay Pacific, Lufthansa, Qantas, Northwest, Singapore Airlines, Japan Airlines, British Airways and many others.

Restaurants and Shops

Hong Kong International Airport Passenger Terminal offers travellers a host of restaurants and shops conveniently located throughout the terminal building.

The non-restricted Level 8 Mezzanine has a great view of the departures hall and boasts several restaurants including the Hereford Beefstouw Steak House, which offers smart dining, while Maxim's Chinese Restaurant offers delicate dim sun.

Level 7 - landside (check-in level) offers a great variety of outlets including the Banana Leaf Asian Food Square, Coffee Club Xpress, the Fook Ming Tong Tea cabin and the Wing Wah Cake Shop, which serves healthy variations of traditional Chinese food. Departing passengers may sample Chinese cooking or international dishes in two restaurants on the airside of Level 7.
